Temprotech
Protection Benefits

01

DAMAGE PREVENTION

Time is money. Yards, contractors and outfitters find themselves under constant pressure to complete jobs without delay. The combined activity and movement of workers, materials and equipment all in relatively confined spaces and often surrounded by finished areas, makes accidental damage almost inevitable. Adopting proper temporary protection materials can help to eliminate the damage to expensive bulkheads, decking, furnishings and fittings.

02

CLEAN SHIP ENVIRONMENT

Temporary protection materials not only protect finished surfaces from accidental damage, they also protect against contamination from dust, dirt, overspray and spillages which can be as destructive to bulkheads, decks and furnishings. Protection materials make it easier and encourage workers to keep work areas clean during a project and drastically reduce the time and effort for final clean up at the end of the project.

03

WORKPLACE SAFETY

A protected and cleaner work environment removes potential hazards and contributes to improved worker safety. Our lightweight but durable protection materials also prove easy for workers to handle, cut, fit or remove.

04

RISK AVOIDANCE

Hot-work during construction or outfitting is an obvious risk and the damage can be catastrophic. Temprotech's flame retardant protection materials have been developed, tested and independently certified to a variety of internationally recognized FR Standards to ensure they do not support combustion.

05

PROJECT COMPLETION

Flame retardant temporary protection materials are a cost-effective measure to prevent damage, protect assets and safeguard the working environment, With minimal disruption, making good or clean-up, projects can be completed on time and on budget.

Custom-designed die-cut protection boxes manufactured from Correx® board provide quick and efficient protection for high volume items and superior protection for high value equipment.

Easy to construct and secure, Correx® boxes will fit perfectly and can be removed and replaced for inspection purposes. Lighter grades of Correx® are used for low risk items or on operational light fittings where light transmission is of importance. Heavier grades can be used for high risk items where structural integrity and impact protection are of primary importance.

Protection boxes can also be custom printed with your logo for identification and promotional purposes.

This IMO Approved carpet protection film offers excellent puncture and tear resistance. The acrylic adhesive applied to the reverse-wound film ensures it can be quickly and easily applied to provide protection against spillages, dust and dirt associated with foot traffic and busy workspaces. The adhesive keeps the protection material securely in place on synthetic or wool-rich carpets, yet it can be cleanly removed without risk of leaving residue.

Different coloured versions with different adhesive qualities are available to protect carpet (white) and glass or hard surface areas (green) during newbuild, outfitting or refurbishment projects.

Protection materials must be properly fitted and secured. Adhesive tapes which fail can leave surfaces unprotected. Poor quality tapes can cause significant problems when they need to be removed; adhesive transfer and delamination can all contribute to increased removal time and clean-up costs. Temprotech's high performance cloth tapes have proven reliably consistent in fixing, sealing, masking, joining and subsequent removal of our protection materials in a wide range of demanding environments. Clean-Peel polyethylene tapes can be used for priming, masking and fixing materials to delicate surfaces.

Multiple coatings of silicone on woven glass fabric ensure it is strong, yet flexible enough to be fabricated into high performance permanent fit smoke barrier curtains.

In the event of a fire, the curtains are deployed to provide a physical barrier to contain the spread of smoke and flame. This material is approved for the manufacture of smoke curtains, but can also be fabricated into high performance equipment covers.
